My newest hair creation....name that tap dancer
I sculpt, not clay or steel, but hair.
You scoff, but it is an art.
I sit, for hours, in my chair,
With no compensation, just heart.
I compose something to make someone beautiful,
And I hope she'll adore it in turn.
A part of me feels this is dutiful,
Yet hopes audiences watch and learn.
There was only one Anne Miller,
And she left us before her time.
Her beauty was a killer,
And her tapping was sublime.

Rocky Month
There's a light at the end of the tunnel.
There's a light at the end of this road.
You don't have to always be perfect.
You've already carried quite a load.
Let it be for now, my child.
You should rest before you try.
Let it be for now, my friend.
Stop asking for the why.
In the end you will find that you have won.
I know that you know not how.
In the end you will see that you've triumphed.
Just live for your now.

A Bulldog Rests
I chewed this basket, but Susan didn't tell,
I like my God Mother, she knows me well.
I give her kisses, to make her happy.
Sometimes when I'm with her, she gets really sappy.
She should have children to fill her void,
But screaming voices get her annoyed.
I love my Aunt Susan, 'cause I can lick her face.
In my doggy heart, she'll always have a place.

Office Hours
Don't take it all so seriously,
As the wrinkles settle in.
She wanted me to have a steady job,
And now, I cannot win.
I gave her all she wanted,
But too little was too late.
Now I sit in my office,
A strikingly cruel trick of fate.
I live alone in my own world,
A place that no one sees.
And today as I think of her fondly,
I'll see her in the breeze.
I give her a wink as she blows by,
And on her way she goes.
I know that she loves me,
As from my pen she flows.

If Trees Could Talk
"I know what you've done" said the tree.
"Of course you do", said I.
"Eight years go by in a flash" said the tree.
"Of course they do" said I.
"Remember when you swam beneath me?" said the tree.
"Of course I do" said I.
"Remember the Hot Tamales?" said the tree.
"Of course I do" said I.
"Do you drink as much these days?" said the tree.
"Of course I don't" said I.
"I guess we've both grown older" said the tree.
"Of course we have" said I.
